The Foundation


Being young is an opportunity. Someone once said you can avoid making mistakes while young by looking at those ahead of you. For example, some people grew up in an environment that was exposed to poverty, some saw divorce, betrayal, violence, pain, abuse and others. You might be reading this and maybe your experiences are more and even burdensome than what I mentioned earlier. You might have made it a part that defines who you are. 

I'm here to tell you that you are renewed in your Spirit. What you thought was a part of you no longer exists. You have been made a new person once you confessed that Jesus is Lord and invited Him in your heart. You might be asking is it as easy as that? Well, it was easy for the whole human race to be regarded as sinners because of Adam and eve’s mistake, why can’t it be easy for you to be saved just by a confession?

Honestly, nothing can change the experiences we had in the past, but our spirit can be changed. Just like a woman that gives birth. It involves a whole experience of carrying a baby for 9 months, going into labor and giving birth but still the baby might be raised by her, or she might give her up for adoption. This does not disqualify the birthing experience the woman went through. It gives an opportunity for another person to be a parent. So is our life, the experiences remain in the past but the spirit is renewed because it's now God’s property.

All in all, I want you to know that you are not what you experienced, you are not the people that birthed you, you are not what’s in the past. You are a new creature. Quoting from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome “You are a new specie. Of a new kind that never existed before.”

You are starting a new life in Jesus Christ, now you are no longer yourself. You now have a guiding map, THE BIBLE. This is a book filled with mysteries and action plans that provide a guide to your life as a Christian. This is where total transformation beings. It's the only book that knows the reader more than the reader knows him/herself. 

My desire is for you to get started in your walk with the Lord, And the best way to do it is by starting to know Him.
